Equestrian Wear
There is so much equestrian wear for the rider it can be difficult to know where to start, but ‘at the top’ seems as good a place as any! In most stables and all events, wearing a riding helmet is absolutely essential. Because of the height of a horse and the speed at which they can canter, a helmet is definitely required in case you slip or fall off your horse. Riding helmets have saved countless lives, and are available in a range of colours and styles to suit every taste. They are designed to protect from a huge amount of force and keep you (and your brain) safe. Always remember how important they are whenever you ride.
Equestrian Show Wear
If you are a competing rider, you will probably be in need of some equestrian show wear. An outfit for eventing could include a riding jacket, dress shirt, chaps or breeches, and a pair of quality riding boots. All of these are great choices, and not just for competitive riders. All of these items (with the exception perhaps of the shirt and jacket) can and should be worn during riding sessions. Wearing them regularly can help protect you from the weather and from injury - plus being comfortable in show wear will help you perform better as and when you start competing. Most equestrian gear is designed to be practical and comfortable because the brands understand that riding is tiring work, especially during events like show jumping.
